Bamboo House is a traditional southern Chinese courtyard house hidden in bamboo forests at Zhushan, Nantou. With more than half of a century long history, the building was out of shape until recent years. Winston Lin, after years of working around the world, returned to his home village and renovated the house he grew up in. After mindful repairing and construction, the house presents itself with traditional bamboo columns, hinoke beams, white stucco, and red bricks as well as modern floor heating, skylights and bathrooms. On the hill behind the main house sit a wood burning kiln where visitors can learn pottery making. Further up to the highpoint of the property, Tea Pavilion is the most tranquil corner where visitor can enjoy local tea and organic coffee with amazing views.
